i just had to use this fun basicgrey paper collection for a little mini album, it's listed on ebay tonight, if you want to take a closer peek. i debated between sisters or friends, sisters won out. don't you love these papers?
i will be putting a pocket page album kit together using these papers too, they are so fun!(the kits and the papers!) there will also be some little bags of embellishments that will be available for purchase for these kits also.
i want to ThAnKeVerYonE who has purchased kits and albums from me , it is so nice to know that others can enjoy my creations and also like to get sticky fingered along with me!
back to work here, i hope all is going well around our little blogdom, everyone seems a little quiet out there! in otherwords, comments anyone? geesh! g'night all! -rebecca
so, here are the new album kits i have added to the "items for sale" category:
i just love the cosmo cricket line of papers here in the last two albums! cosmo is double-sided card-stock which is perfect for these little albums. of course basicgrays new line is wonderful too, i will put together another one in the near future and add it to these.
this is a really fun, easy, and fastalbum to put together. there are 4 pocket pages that hold 4 double-sided tags with circle pulls. i have included a metal fastener for the binding and 12" of ribbon that can be used laced through the same binding holes and tied over the clip. you will need to pick up some of the 1/8" terrifically tacky tape, check michael's. minimal gluing, if you can believe it- yeah! only the tags get the "yes" glue. to attach the circle pulls, i used a new little sticker machine i picked up at walmart - shhhh (don't tell polly, i am not suppose to be shopping there. she's been too busy to get on her computer so i think i am safe mentioning it here.) anyway, it's one of those xyron create a sticker ones- it works great! but, you see, that little guy here they want $10.00 for it and i only paid $6 something, maybe $7, you- know- where, and the refills are about 3 dollars cheaper too! gotta love the savings! anyway, i think you will enjoy the sturdiness and simplicity of this great little album. sometimes we just need that instant gratification!
i am going to be working on jenny's pregnancy journal - i cannot believe - they only have 3 months left! geesh, how fun is that? she is doing great, getting bigger and bigger and they can now see baby owen moving, which is very exciting for them both!
be sure and take a peek at the new items, have a good day today, bye for now. -rebecca
yeah! i finally completed these love kits and sent them south! now i will put some together for the blog here, hopefully, tomorrow! for all of you in sunny southern california, check the scrapbook oasis saturday or monday! this "lettres d'amour" album aka "love letters", tell me, why does it always sound more romantic in french? Anyway, this album kit is brimming with those daisy d's modern romance papers! check the left sidebar under items for sale to see all the photos of what your album will look like when completed. mr. moto even contributed his wing feathers for this album kit!
i have modified it slightly from the 6" X 6" that sold on ebay- it is now a 5" X 6". there lots of scraps to play with and tons of vintage couples images and love letters, all used for double-sided tags that you will back with bazzill card-stock. new challenges, for example: you will need sharp detail scissors for intricate cutting, making a gold tassel (it's a challenge to try to keep it all together and tie it at the same time!) and the very familiar; ink, wax, buff, glue and press. but, the end result is very much worth it to showcase those special photos that need a permanent, safe home.
i must get back to work, i have a special order to complete before i can put those kits together. yikes! i also have some new little kits that i have been working on, that are fast, easy and cute to put together if you are just too busy or maybe, just want a little album for a special day or event. hopefully this week end i will be able to start to add those. i am trying to figure out just how i can place them on here, maybe in groups like, christmas, easter, girly, boys, baby... hummmm. maybe a new blog site for selling? geesh, i'm not sure. i be thinkin' though, as i work of course. okay gotta go, have a wonderful, creative day! it's friday! yeah! g'night! -rebecca
hello everyone! well, i finally completed this little love album and listed on ebay tonight - yeah!
now, on with the kit! i figured it would be okay to make a kit of this album and have it a little too close to valentines day, because there is really no one day for romance, we can celebrate this all year! right? anyway the kit will measure 5" X 6" instead of 6" X 6" - it is much easier to tear the papers for each page that way! i can't wait to get to the lss and pick up the needed papers - plus - okay i admit it - see the new arrivals! i did see some papers from marah johnson and her "love struck" collection which look like fun. geesh, i love paper!
anyway, it is late and i have some catching - up to do if i want to get these kits in before valentines day arrives! have a good week and i hope all of you in the deep freeze warm up soon! -rebecca
Yippee! january is over! now, on with the month of LoVe! the days are getting longer, we've had sun for over a week now! it is still very cold, but the sun is wonderful! i have been doing my best to get a valentine album kit ready, but now i have decided that a 6" X 6" size is too large for a kit, it would be way too tough to tear the papers, so this album will be going on ebay when completed. there is a lot to learn about putting these kits together, i love the idea and i am so thrilled with the response that i have received, so, i will keep plugging along and trying my best.
"sneak peek"- the first 4 pages of my newest album, it is made from the daisy D's modern romance line, plus many vintage images, i am calling it "love letters":
hey do you guys like to surf the blogs? here is one that is fun to keep tabs on emily falconbridge she is doing an ongoing - 52 week - art journal challenge she is on week four, but you can start anytime. she is using a deck of cards one for each week, with a prompt every sunday. fun! jess and i have been wanting to start it, but we have come up with all kinds of lame excuses, geesh, get with it huh?
well, i better change the blog colors here and get to work! have a good first week of february! yeah! -rebecca
