okay, i hope everyone is ready to, or should i say, i hope everyone has time and patience to view this new journal. lol, it is a pregnancy journal and has to hold 9 months of information and memories so it is rather thick and somewhat heavy. the covers for this journal have been created from a 1878 children's book. there are over 60 pages of blank papers including sketch, water color, vellum, handmade, lined, and linen, with tons of pockets and envelopes, to hold all the information that one collects during their pregnancy. it has been divided into 3 sections for the 3 trimesters, with tags for writing down dr. visit and baby info. yikes, i hope you like it! :
the right side page is the divider for the first trimester
this is the front of one of the several pockets that i have created like
this, with an extra little pocket on the front bottom. you can also see
a bookmark lying in front of the journal here, so that you will always
know where you last wrote.
the back of the pocket wth another pocket with an appointment card
a "girl names" tag is tucked into this vintage lace pocket that folds
around to the back of the page ...
to create another pocket for the "Boy Names" tag.

this is the front of the divider for the second trimester
and the back. the exact colors are hard to capture, it is sorta in
between these two photos- i love these wonderful daisy d's papers!
another pocket with tags, front and back.
these charming ladies create a pocket as does the bingo card.
more pockets front and back.
here is one of a few pockets i have created from a vintage image on

there are 2 tags in this section instead of pockets, here is the front

phew, there it is, thanks for taking the time to visit and look! this storybook album is listed here in my etsy shop. ohmygosh! it weighs over a pound! i will pay the shipping cost for domestic postage or 1/2 the cost for over-the-pond shipping. lol
ohmygosh, it's snowing! everyone has beautiful flower pictures up on their blogs , welcoming spring, dede talks about her 90 degree weather, and here we are with 32 degrees and snow! it is beautiful, but...
just a little tease for the new journal i am hoping to list in etsy tonight. i didn't know when i started that it would turn into what it did... funny, you never know where you are going with a project until you get into working on it, lol! i'm also hoping someone will see the need for one of these, lol!:
i will have the journal pictures on here tonight, back to work! thanks everyone! -rebecca
didn't i tell you she was sweet? so, here's the scoop:
the rules for the *you make my day award* are to re-present it to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel happy about blog land. let them know through email or by posting a comment on their blog so they can pass it on. beware you may get the award several times yourself, and if you do, consider yourself really, really loved.
i would like to wish you all a happy easter spent with family and friends!
i did get this last easter album listed on etsy tonight in between coloring easter eggs with our girls and grandson, eating burritos and jabbering with our son in law. this album is made as the peter cottontail album was, out of rusty pickles easter papers, only this line called "white chocolate bunnies". there are 14 pockets holding 18 double-sided tags:
the cover with 2 side pockets, bound using with sturdy wire and my zutter, love that machine!
pages 1 and 2 with 2 pockets and four double-sided tags and an attached little accordion album with a ribbon tie closure.
a close-up of the accordion which measures 1.5" X 2.5" with 6 mats for little photos.
Pages 3 and 4 with 4 side pockets holding 4 double-sided tags, paper lace and an easter poster cutout, or should i say, tear out, which can be used as an additional pocket.
Pages 5 and 6 has 4 hand sewn pockets and 6 tags, paper lace and a little vintage image cutout that may be used as a pocket also.
Pages 7 and 8 with 2 ribbon hand sewn pockets and 4 tags.
18 double-sided tags, the backs are tan card-stock and
vintage easter coffee trade card images.
ohmygosh, i forgot to take photos of the tags! geesh, i will get those pictures on later, meg has a movie she would like me to watch with her, then the tags!
enjoy your evening and again, happy happy easter! -rebecca
yes, easter is coming fast this year, oh my! lol. i have listed an easter "chunky" album on etsy tonight, it seems like forever since i've created a chunky album, i've been so busy with the pocket pages kits, but here it is, created using rusty pickles "chocolate bunnies" easter papers with bazzill card-stock. there are 14 pockets with 17 double-sided tags, an attached accordion book, and a couple of little pockets attached to the larger pockets, as you all know, i love pockets! lol!
the cover with 2 side pockets, a vintage postcard image, printed on white acid, lignin free, card-stock, a name tag, and bound with sturdy wire binding.
pages 1 and 2 with 1 pocket on each page and an attached accordion book with a ribbon closure.
a close-up of the little accordion book which measures 1.5" X 2.5" and has 6 mats for 6 little pictures.
pages 3 and 4 has 2 side pockets on each page embellished with paper lace and a little "easter egg hunt" poster that can be used as a little pocket, just slide your photo or journaling tag in from the side or top at a slight angle.
this page is actually the best true to color photo.
pages 5 and 6 has 2 pockets embellished with paper lace and a little bunny image on the front of the pocket, that can also be used as a small pocket.
pages 7 and 8 have pockets that are laced to the pages with a brown ribbon, this photo shows a little dark, the ribbon is actually more of a cocoa brown , not black brown.
the front of the 17 tags, the backs are all ColorMate tan card-stock.
so there it is, i have one more easter album i would like to list, it will be created using rusty pickles "white chocolate bunnies" papers, which are the same patterns, except pink and brown. cute.
thanks everyone for visiting! i must get back to work, then, after all the holidays, easy street, lol. really, i can create more freely, add some new things, maybe even chat on here a bit, instead of just listing my work! until august, when everything starts to hurry again. goodnight all, -rebecca
hello, hello, well, easter is on it's way, early this year too. i have listed a new spring pocket pages album kit, easter "add-on" kit, and the prototype easter album "Bunny Trail" in my etsy shop . here are the photos, very strange but the colors were hard to photograph today, some came out darker than they really are. i guess photography 101 would be a good course for me to take, it might make my life easier. lol.
"spring fling" pocket pages album kit made entirely with basicgrey
finished tags front and back
"bunny trail" add-on kit
an example of what you can create using these two kits together...
thank you all for supporting my etsy shop, blog and me! i love all your emails and my brave blogger friends who leave comments.
here is a peek at what we got to do yesterday, wooohooo! our baby owen is growing so fast! aunt meagen actually took care of him , she fed him- green vegi's, sweet potatoes, and bananas, cleaned him up, and let him sleep on her.
well, better scram, work, work, work- after our friday night pizza feast that is! yummm! goodnight all. -rebecca
just a quick post with a link to the new march kits "journey" at "all moments remembered". here is a link to heathers blog that has her inspiration for the kit and the photos of what the kit contains. don't you love her writing? they are once again sold out of this kit, just with the sneak peeks, before they even reveal what's inside, wtg!
