hi everyone! our first snowfall has arrived. so pretty! we were expecting to get an inch today, instead, it started yesterday, just flurries, no sticking, so my dh and i decided to go out for dinner.we headed north a bit and by the time we were on our way home, the driving was treacherous, omgosh! we couldn't even see any lanes on the freeway, it was packed snow and ice, the snow was coming down like a blizzard, and people were spooked, driving so slow, using their brakes, that it made it dangerous. they were weaving all over the place, trying to find the lanes, geesh! we were quite thankful to arrive home, safe and sound, to sit out out on our back porch and hear the quiet descent of the snow, as if our hell ride home never happened! lol!
well, i just thought i would share these images with you, i'm sure when the little kids around here, woke up this morning, they were thrilled and excited with the winter white surprise and ran out, took to the hills and flat areas to construct snowmen, make snow angels and sled!
take time to enjoy your day and week ahead! -rebecca
hi, on this 6 day of december, with cloudy skies, cold temperatures and christmas in the air. i have posted some gift card envelopes in the christmas shop, along with some extra buttons, i hope you may use. i'm working on getting photos of some extra christmas papers and images that i have wrapped up in bundles, i will try and get them in the christmas shop by tomorrow. i have had some sweet inquiries about my ruined album, i think i will post pictures of that too! lol! right now i have some photos of the card holders, and buttons. it takes forever to photograph, size, edit lint out, lol, and post! but i am working on it. here is example of what these gift card holders look like. they are 2.5" X 3.5" X about .5" in the center. they will each arrive in a normal envelope, cost 42 cents, i like that, and with a coordinating round tag andstring. you may supply the ribbon or extra embellishments to suit your taste. since they will be flat when they arrive , you will just need to hold them in the center, lightly pinch in the seams, and fold up the ends! i have already folded the ends once, so it should be a snap when you do it again. don't these packets of buttons look fun and christmas-y? i love buttons! here is another packet of buttons i've listed, how did i end up with all those santa hats with o's? lol ! i hope you are enjoying the season! jess is almost done with her first quarter of running start at the community college, taking 15 credits. 2 more days and we can sleep in! yeah! 2 more days and maybe she can turn her mind off school, for a couple of weeks at least! meg? well, she is in classes for 2 more weeks and working 2 days a week until the 19th. life goes on, but with excitement in the air!
well, off to work and hopefully, to decorate a bit. take care, i'll be back! -rebecca
omgosh! geesh! i was trying to get the widget for my "on line red kettle" up and running and my blog went crazy on me! i thought for sure i would lose the whole thing! lol. but i didn't and i am a happy camper! i have been trying to get this widget into my sidebar for over a week, well, actually, i wanted the red kettle widget that would show our progress to reaching our goal, but it just would not get small. so this will work. yeah!
so, i do not have any bells ringing, but i do have a kettle and would love for you to join me in giving, just a bit, to those who could use some extra help during this holiday season. and, as always, thanks so much for your support!
i have been playing this evening! first, after working on a new album the last couple of days, iwas just adding the finishing touches this afternoon, when... this is so sad!.... i ruined it! yikes, it was bad! i cannot repair it, so... i decided to heck with it, and have been putting together these fun little gift card envelopes (my therapy):
i love these! meg needed an envelope for a gift card so, we put one of these together, and i decided, after my disaster, to go ahead and make some for the shop and blog. wouldn't they be cute tied up with a bow? you could use them for candy, jewelery, theater tickets, ohmygosh, all kinds of fun little gifts! i love them! lol.
well, i am going to take pictures of a few things and add them to my shops. i think i will start on a season journal too, hmmmm. good bye for now...-rebecca
so here is a vintage postcard image that i wanted to post with the last one a couple of days ago but it somehow got lost amongst my other clip art files and only by luck did i find it nestled in with my "children" images, geesh! well, i hope you see, i have created a link in my left sidebar, to all of the images i have decided to share with all of you, who have so faithfully followed my blog. silent as you are, i appreciate your continued visits and emails! my only wish with these, is that you will be able to use them in your art and if you do offer any as a group, that you will give them freely with no restrictions or cost.
