i know i am late in posting this, i could say, i just now feel myself again after the wild time we had at the convention, but really, i have just been busy with other things. i will say, i am glad we went! never having been to one before, it was quite an experience! so much to see! all that stuff! i was told that the everyone gets pushy and rude, but i have to say we saw none of that. some would try and worm their way in front of the line but, you know, who cares, really! we all have lots of time and it really isn't necessary to get bent out of shape with people who try and do that. here are some pics i finally took at the end of the day, about 4:00pm on saturday, they started closing at 4:30 so it was getting less busy.
my plan was to start taking pictures right away, and lots of them, but, i must admit i got too excited when i saw the basicgrey and rusty pickle booths! as it turned out, those two were the only main paper companies there, and basicgrey had run out of one of the cutest christmas papers in their collection, the day before! (i was highly disappointed with them over that!) the rest of the booths were scrapbook companies of all sorts. my daughters, jess and jen came with me, it was so fun having them there! (this type of thing isn't meagen's idea of a fun day) here is a photo of jen and i - do not try and get a close up of this photo of me, it will scare you! geesh! jess is at the "no photos of me" stage already in her life, so i guess we'll just have to catch her on the sly when we can, but i will not post any unless i get the okay, she is very serious about this! i am too! man, if you have been around on my different sites, you may have noticed, i don't go in for photos either! and this is an example of why, besides getting older and not recognizing myself anymore, in every picture, some weird thing is going on with this face! in this one, my right eye looks like it is bugged out, geesh! i mean really! but this is cute of jen so i'll put it on. i guess the most fun we had was at the dollar scrap booking booth, really! i made the comment, why girls, with all of this stuff, are we standing in line at this dollar site?! well, i had to eat my words, it was great! i love karen foster stuff and they had some metals of hers in there, that i never have seen, and do love! and magic scraps?! everything was a dollar and i spent plenty there. they had a make and take that jen did while we were standing in line, so we weren't too bored while we waited! all in all it was loads of fun, when we returned home both girls fell asleep on the couch for a good 2 hours! geesh, what lightweights! i also found more of the melissa frances christmas collection, so i will be working on that, after, i take our halloween decorations down, dang it! -rebecca
