~*100*~ blog post giveaway!

okay, so this is the the 94 post and the official announcement for the ~*100th*~ post giveaway. i will be putting together a 5" X 6", 8 page "chunky" album for the prize, and will post pictures next week, probably towards the end of the week, after wednesday, lets say. (yikes, the pressure is on, what if you don't like the album?) geesh! well, you can always give it as a gift- to someone you don't particularly like! lol.

for those of you who were out of town for a week, polly, all names will be put in a basket, and jess and meg will pull out a name. i will try to use continuous picture mode for you all to see which name is drawn as it is pulled out. a video would be nice, but, i don't have the time to figure out how to put it on this blog.

all you have to do is leave a comment, "just count me in" or "hi" will do, that way, i am able to keep everyones name in some sort of order. i just thought this would be a way for me to say "thank you", to you, for coming and visiting my blog.

scrapbook kit/collection on ebay

hi all, well, i have decided to definitely have an album give away for my ~*100th*~ blog entry. yeah! this entry will be my 93rd. only 7 more to go. for everyone who would like to have a chance, just post a comment, i will take your name and drop it in a basket. jess or meg will pull the winner on that eventful day. i will be creating an 8 page album with a universal theme of some sort, and post a photo of it next week. there is 1 entry so far, thanks claudine! woohoo! lets get bloggin' youse guys! lol.

etsy is down

sorry about the etsy links not working, they started a maintenance on it last night and they are still not 100% back. so sad, can't list a thing. EtSy WiThDraWaL- eeek! it should be working tomorrow, cross my fingers! what a project to have to work on!

i have almost reached my hundredth post, maybe i should have a give away to celebrate? an album? a kit? a box of goodies? hummm. what do you all think?

scrapbook kits/collections

it's a rainy saturday morning and a perfect day for creating! don't you think? if you are in the sun, get out and enjoy! i'll be cozily creating some new scrapbook kits i am listing in my etsy shop.

 

I bought a lArGe, ohmygosh, double pad of patterned papers by -my minds eye- "wild asparagus", i never even knew that they made patterned papers, i have only seen their double-sided card-stock, which is beautiful, and "bohemia"! too much paper here for me so i am passing it on with some brads, eyelets, ribbons and fibers that i no longer use in my creations. you will notice that everything is pretty and shiny, as you all know, i use the grungy ones now, lol, the aged copper and pewter, non shiny ribbons and fibers and embellishments. anyway, i hope you will take a peek and maybe come up with a use for all these goodies. it feels good to organize and make more room for my vintage stuff that is everywhere! geesh.

i have also put this   little envelope album that i made last fall "on sale" because, the listing is up at the beginning of may and i really would like to see someone get it, it's a sweet little piece... well i could use it for my grandson who will be arriving in may! humm. lol

you know, etsy is growing like crazy, my sis told me about it a few years ago and just this last fall, opened my shop. since the new year, etsy  has really grown! they keep making it better, today i noticed that they put a really cool little "autoscroll" in their "time machine 2" so you don't have to click! fun! anyway, if you have some things that you've made, and they are piling up, or you just have the urge to sell some handmade goodies, try etsy! it's fun! if you do open a shop or if you already have one open, let me know- i will put links from my blog here to there!

okay, i better go put some more kits together, i have about a gazillion to finish- yikes! jessss- help!

altered walls, more tags, chickygirl

hi all, i know its been a while, the tulips are bloomin', the grass is growing, the trees have sprouted leaves, the frogs and cats are makin' their night time noises, and the birds are giving us their wonderful spring morning melodies - life is good. now, if it would just warm up a bit!

i have some pictures to share of owen's nursery. jen is due in 6 weeks and i think i have it under control-the room painting , i mean. yes, well, here is a picture of jen putting  away some freshly cleaned clothes, about the hundredth load so far! lol. it's just the beginning of the next 20 years! she is doing good and looking good! here are some shots of the painting or... altered walls. i will start with the now finished, beanstalk...

    with jack standing on a leaf with a stick in hand, peering off into the distance, then a lovely(sarcasm) photo of myself at work and end with the castle which is now, more than halfway completed, yippee! 

painted walls is a family tradition as is, handmade christmas stockings, thank gawd, i have almost a year to get that project done! i will post more photo's still, as i progress with this monumental project! lol.

now on with these, my mothers day gift tags, that are listed on etsy. a mothers day album has been started, but, after completing the first 2 pages, i decided to create some of these too. who knows why my mind jumps like this?! geesh. 

                                            

and last, but certainly, most assuredly, not least, dede! chicky girl is a dede-ism, and dede is a chicky girl. i met her over the internet, ebay to be exact, we have never stood face to face, and yet, i feel like i have always known her. she is vibrant, enthusiastic, creative, straight-forward and busy, busy busy! she has just opened a dede etsy shop , i am so happy she has done this! and has some very fun paper and trim packets offered. since she lives in southern cal, she is able to pick up some wonderful items from all the antique/flea markets to use in her own creations and offer some up for us! now, she has tagged me in her blog , and since i am anti-social- i'm one of those silent bloggettes who enjoys reading other blogs, but, because i am shy, i never leave any comments, i'm sure you guys know what i mean. lol. anyway, i guess i am to list 5 blogs that inspire me, or i enjoy visiting, right dede? so here goes, in no particular order:

nina bagley "ornamental" about 7 years ago now, i was inspired to create altered books because of this incredibly talented lady. i love how she uses all of those elements from nature, the soft with the rough, the darks and lights, her blog is like her art, it's real, it's wonderful. thanks nina!

emily falconridge *e* is fun to visit and i love her art journal challenge idea. jess and i have been meaning to join, but just haven't yet.

geesh, this is harder than it sounds! i am pooped, since i had to get everyones blog link, i had to read all the posts! it is now 3:30 and i need to get to bed! well, i did get 3 down anyway. i do love reading blogs, although i don't ever have enough time to read all i like, it takes a long time for me to get caught up on them. i guess dede's is the only blog i actually read every day. i would read my sister's if she started one - polly? you out there? huh? miss you!
