this is my card for emily falconbridges 19th week art journal challenge. the prompt is: surprise! so guess what my card is? yes, our most beautiful surprise, baby owen! lol! i have been wanting to do this challenge and just been too darn busy, sound like an excuse? really! anyway, thanks for the challenge emily!

woohoo! i just had to blog this morning to get this contest moving faster, sorry for the "too long" days between posts! i believe i am able to focus better now after our little joyful surprise. thank you for all of your emails, they are so sweet and much appreciated! owen and his momma are doing very well. at just over 2 weeks old, owen is a sweety and jen is trying to do too much, as new moms do, as far as cleaning and organizing. with owen born so early, i still haven't completed his nursery wall paintings, yikes, so i plan on starting that again on monday.

okay, about the "by the sea"   ~*100th blog giveaway*~ , well, shall we dare set a tentative date, say, thursday? in the evening pdt about 7:30? i think that time might even work for most of you across the pond?  that will be fun!

"by the sea" album giveaway

hello everyone, i cannot believe it has been so long since i last blogged! geesh, what a week! i feel i am slowly coming back into- what? normalcy? well, i don't know, everyone is doing well, thank you so much for all of your kind comments and emails! baby owen is a week and a day and they are all doing what new families do, learning about eachother and finding ways to make things work. i am so thankful the kids live next door! being so close, i can get an owen hit by just walking a few feet, kiss his sweet baby head, touch his tiny baby fingers, hold and cuddle him and just walk home again, ready to continue working!

it has been hard to focus, i cannot believe the powerful energy i feel from this tiny baby's presence. it has distracted me even more than i had anticipated, i will be working away, and all of a sudden stop and forget where my thoughts were going with the idea i just had! yikes! i don't know about this grandma thing, i feel like i have a baby, but i don't! lol. weird.

anyway, on with this here post, the 96th post to be exact! thank you all for your wonderful comments and emails about my work, it's amazing! i am so very fortunate that i am able to be home and do what i love to do! ideas are usually spinning around my head, like wily coyote after he runs into a rock outcrop- meep meep....vroooooooooooom>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ouch! it is great fun to be able to share these albums with others and know that they will have them in their homes and enjoy them, and at the same time all those photos will be safe and in one place. thank you, thank you, thank you! so, here is a sneak peek at the album that will be up for grabs.does it look familiar? huh, dede? it is kinda, sorta like the altered book that i made called "seaside memories". i am hoping that those of you who have been added to the basket, will all have, or plan on having seaside memories to place in this album! lol.

i am pooped, i have a couple of more kits to finish putting together, btw, the 2 halloween kits have sold out, i haven't been able to get the same papers to put anymore together, boohoo. thank you to everyone who has bought these, it was so much fun getting them out! but... on with new stuff, if i can get my mind in focus, that is, and off our little sweet peanut!
