hello, everyone. i hear snow is still falling around the us, geesh, it's been so nice here, i forget it's still just march. we've had wonderful sunny days although still a bit chilly, and crisp cool nights with frogs croaking. i walked outside saturday morning and breathed in the sweet smell of spring, it was glorious! i have been busy working special orders and i have just listed this new storybook journal in my etsy shop
the covers of this "sailing into slumber-land" journal, were created using a well read 1909 "mother bedtime stories" book. i've tied the title tag on the binding with vintage seam binding and a trinket cluster...
with a little vintage stamp and 6 charms.
i used a picture from the story book to decorate the inside cover, and the title page from the story book for the facing page.
i love this postcard picture! i had to include this as the name /date card.
the reverse of the name/date page has 2 side pockets. there is an original book page following each divider.
the second divider is the "mail" page with 2 half page pockets and a little pocket attached to the bottom front holding an original 1916 birth announcement and a little thank you card.
the reverse side of the mail divider has a full page, top opening pocket.
the third divider has a bottom pocket and a layered flower that is also a pocket for little treasures.
on the reverse, another large bottom pocket with a little poem pocket on the front, with two little double-sided tags slipped in. facing this page is a 1930's bingo card with a bottom pocket and tab on one side and ...
a close-up of the reverse with 2 side pockets and a tag.
on the last divider page there are 2bottom pockets on one side with a tag ...
a full page pocket with a top opening, and a piece of vintage lace as a pocket across the bottom with a double-sided tag slipped in.
sailing to "slumber-land" open.
thanks for looking, enjoy your evening, morning or day! back to work for me, i have it tough, lol. night all -rebecca
