travel journal "auto tour" storybook journal

phew, slept in today- until noon! 6 hours sleep, must have needed it. i have listed this second little travel journal here ,  i love this series of vintage reading books, the graphics are sweet.

so this is called "auto tour":

this 4.75" X 7.5" auto tour travel journal has a sweet cover created from a 1817 story book about the travel adventures of  bunny brown and his sister sue. there is a fun trinket cluster attached to the o-wire...

this is the name/date page with a bottom pocket attached and facing page with an original page from the little story book.

with 2 side pockets and a clip. the number strip is open on the outside edge so you can slip little paper items under it also. 

there are 4 pocket divider pages in this journal. each divider has a full page pocket with top opening and are embellished with paper lace, clips, hang tags, brads, stamps, metal, leather, and velvet page tab turners and coin envelopes.

the "mail page" divider is divided in half with a top opening pocket and a slit opening pocket and with 2 pockets on the front of the bottom pocket. there are 2 little hang tags and vintage transportaion token attached to the top postcard pocket and a vintage circa 1900 gold bird diecut on the top of the vintage ticket pocket. the paper lace strip can hold stamps or addresses and the "motoring" tag creates a pocket to hold other tiny papers.

with 2 side pockets- the bottom one was created from vintage paper lace. there is also another pocket attached over the top of the side pockets.

with 1 side pocket and 2 top pockets- the flower cut-outs create a top pocket and the ledger type paper creates the other top pocket ready to store any little bits that will get lost in the larger pockets.

             

a little cloth pouch with a vintage cloth button  closure. you can add pages, or artifacts between the bound pages with ring, clips ribbon or even string attached to the o-wire.

ohmygosh, it's freezing here, even snow in the forecast, geesh, but...  it's perfect weather for creating. i am going to post a new journal, in fact 2 new journals in my etsy shop tomorrow, well, later this morning really. unless it takes me too long to post this, then i will just go ahead and list it in etsy, lol, it happens. in fact, maybe i will list at least one right away and sleep in this morning.

the first is called "western union" it's been created from a 1941 zane grey book, it has 50+ pages, 4 pocketed dividers, 1930's bingo card, vintage lace, paper lace, a leather pocket pouch and more goodies:

valentine portfolio mini album "maybe baby"

back again with this little portfolio/file folder album called "maybe baby"  inspired once again from the papers i used from daisy d's "maybe baby" valentine collection. i have listed it here  in my etsy shop.

this is a portfolio album with elastic closures and vintage seam binding ribbon binding, with an original vintage 1920's valentine tucked in a little tied ribbon pocket, and paper lace.

pages 1 and 2 have 2 bottom pockets plus the little valentine images also create pockets.

there is one pocket on page 3 and 2 pockets on page 4

             

                                                pages 5 and 6

page 5 has one bottom pocket. page 6 has a side pocket with a little mini album tucked in. the paper clip is helping hold this layout open for photos, it is not included in the album, unless you would like it- let me know.

             

               this little valentine card opens with 8 photo mats.

page 7 has a bottom pocket created with the vintage image and page 8 has a bottom pocket created from this vintage card plus, the card opens to reveal 2 photo mats.

love journal "je t' aime"

i hope everyone had a special valentines day! i have a love journal just listed in my etsy shop the covers are created from a wonderful 1899 "carmen" book by prosper merrimee.

this little storybook journal has 50+ pages and measures 4" X 6.5". just the right size to hold love notes and poems. the cover is fabric with a beautiful gold embossed panel and is embellished with a trinket cluster attached to the o-wire. also tucked in the journal, is a removable bookmark created from the embossed spine cover and vintage seam binding ribbon bow.

each divider page has a full page pocket with a top opening, i have clipped a half circle in the top of some of the dividers other openings are just along the top edge as this front divider.

there are 2 hand-stitched side pockets with a double-sided tag tucked in which has a vintage postcard image on one side and lined journaling paper on the reverse. each facing page after the divider pages is vellum.

there is a paper flower "rosie" created with vintage book pages and 1 bottom pocket on this page. the decorative papers used in this journal are from my coveted stash of the wonderful daisy d's.

there are 2 bottom pockets here with an original 1800's "universal fashion company" business card from a portland oregon sewing machine store slipped in the back pocket and 3 little love tickets tucked in the top pocket with a pin holding another love token.

there is 1 bottom pocket on this page and a heart cutout with a hat pin and a vintage 1800's rose diecut. each divider has a metal, velvet, or leather page tab turner.

this page has 2 side pockets with a double-sided tag clipped in place with a treble clif clip. there is a vintage button sewn through vintage lace here. with a little heart charm hanging from a pink velvet page turn tab.

a pocket is created from a paper heart cutout with a beautiful pink rose cutout accent over the top and a pretty pink button tied on top. there is a double-sided journaling tag with a pink ribbon pull slipped into the pocket.

a large polka dot pocket and a paper heart strip that will hold little extras, such

as this double-sided tag held on with a little heart clip.

 

the full page pocket tags are covered on both sides with papers, which have a background the

color of  natural craft paper, you know, sort of brown bag,  but not as dark. they contrast

nicely with the creamy color of the decorative pages. all papers in this album are from the making

memories "love notes" collection.
