hello, ohmygosh we are getting some beautiful days here, cold sunny and dry! we did get a morning snow or two but it swiftly ends and - out comes the sun. it's just wonderful. anyway, i hope everyone is getting a touch of spring where you are, even up in the last frontier!

here is a journal created from a well loved 1928 music book called "'the music hour" i love this book! the birds are so sweet sitting over the kids on a branch. it measures 6- 1/8" X 8.25", with 60+ pages. a combination of  lined, velcro, linen, handmade, sketch and watercolor papers, divided by 5 double-sided pocket dividers designed with tons of pockets to hold all of the treasures that you find on your journey's.

the name/date page with a vintage lace bottom pocket, and a half circle top opening to a full page pocket. 4 of the 5 dividers have full page pockets with top openings.

4 side pockets sewn with seam binding ribbon and 2 little bird charms. there is a large double-sided tag tucked in the bottom pocket.

the "mail" page with this full page pocket being divided in two- upper and lower pockets, just the right size for stuffing with communication goodies such as stamps, cards, notes, and addresses. there are 3 pockets, two tags and two vintage tickets.

travel journal "chirpings" storybook

back again, how many hours later? geesh! anyway, we are having some more winter weather- expected: snow winds, rain and cold cold cold! we have had some warm days this last week, it was a very welcome break. 

well, here is "chirpings" the new travel journal i have just listed on etsy. it has 45 pages which include a combination of velum, lined writing, handmade, sketch, linen, and watercolor papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue.

this page is divided in half with a top opening pocket and a slit opening pocket. there is a top pocket on the top opening pocket and a bottom pocket on the top of the slit pocket which holds a double-sided tag slipped in and some tiny double-sided "stamp" tags clipped to the pocket with a tiny paper clip. a ride token hangs from the leather page tab.

I will be listing a new travel journal in my etsy shop today and posting photos here. etsy is still only letting us post 5 pictures so it's nice to have this blog for many photos and descriptions. thank you all!  i am off to take photos... i shall return.
