new travel journal "sea side and way side"

good morning! it's wet and drizzly here- a perfect day for scrap-booking!  here is the new beach travel journal i have just listed in my etsy shop. 

it's been created from a 1908 children's science book which measures 4.75" X 7- 5/8" and has 50+ papers which include a combination of vellum, lined writing, sketch, linen, and watercolor papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue.

this is the name/date page . 

each divider is a full page pocket with top openings and embellished with paper lace, clips, hang tags, brads, stamps, metal, & velvet page tab turners, coin envelopes and lots of pockets to store all those travel goodies .

there are 2 hand sewn side pockets with a printed vintage beach poster pocket and a double sided tag slipped in.

             

                                                      divider 2

the "mail page"  is divided in two with a top opening pocket and a slit opening pocket with 3 more pockets on the front, a double sided tag is attached to the pocket with a bamboo clip. a perfect page for holding stamps, postcards, addresses and such.

this is a partial  page from an 1800's photo album embellished with vintage lace, fiber, seam binding ribbon, buttons paper lace and a sea shell charm. there is rectangular picture  frame on the front  side and...

             

an oval frame on the backside embellished with paper lace.

hello everyone, i would like to present another storybook  journal called "journey", i have just listed it in my etsy shop here. i really like this cover with the great airplane graphic, isn't it fun? it's been created from a 1945 children's reader, it has 50+ pages, 4 pocketed dividers, 1930's bingo card, paper lace, a leather pocket pouch and more goodies:

my gosh, beach papers are very hard to find now-a-days, i have been creating these recent beach journals from my stash, unable to find any new vintage style papers to my liking- yikes what am i to do? for those of you that have requested beach journals, i must apologize, i have been frantic in my search and have come up empty handed. i can only hope that some new papers will be arriving.

 another new journal , yea! this one is a travel journal called "at the sea side" listed in my etsy shop here:

"botanique" storybook travel journal

 hi all, gosh welcome to spring! the sun is shining and it's 50 degree- nice. a couple of days ago it was a balmy 68 degrees- wonderful! hope the sun is out where you are, what a rejuvenating orb. yea for spring!

well, this travel journal listed in my etsy shop, is made for this time of year.

this journal measures 6" X 8  3/8" with 50+ pages; a combination of  vellum, writing, linen, sketch, and watercolor papers on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue. The cover was created from a 1929 children's music book, with a trinket cluster attached to the o-wire binding.

the name and date page with 2 bottom pockets and 3 double sided tags tucked in. i have done some machine stitching on the divider pages.

each divider has a full page pocket with top opening- except this mail page- there are 2 half page pockets here, one is a top opening with a half circle opening and the other is a slit pocket. the  2 large butterflies are little pockets as is the square "bee". these will hold tickets, stamps or any little mailing item that you have.

4 side pockets on this divider back, one is paper lace. there is a large "iris" tag slipped in and a "bee" pocket on top of the side pockets.

this is a half page from an 1800's photo album. there are 2 oval picture  frames on this side and...

             

2 rectangular frames on this side. perfect to personalize and embellish.

there are 3 side pockets here, aren't these papers wonderful? they are bobunny's "country garden" collection, so fun.
