so, here is my promised school journal listed in my etsy shop  here    created from a 1950's child's word  book with 50 pages which include a combination of vellum, lined writing, linen, sketch, and watercolor papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue.

new journal "schooltime" teachers storybook

 i hope everyone has a good memorial day weekend, it looks like ours is going to be sunny-yea! maybe i can finally plant some pots this weekend, i am late and our pots are so bare!

i have listed this teachers journal in my etsy shop. mygosh, i tried to post this all day yesterday but kept getting that big red warning window about it not being safe to continue to sign in. geesh, i couldn't wait any longer, i hope some creeps didn't steal my info.  "typepad help" kept trying to find the problem but said they could see nothing wrong. my site itself was fine, it was just the sign in page, oh well, my fingers are crossed- i hate those red warning windows- i always "run back to safety" well i do like to gamble.

anyway, for my etsy friends who would like to see more pictures and for everyone else who happens to find their way here -  my new journal:

this journal was created from the covers from a 1909 "Champion Spelling Book", with o-wire binding and a little trinket cluster hanging from the title tag. this 4.75" X 7 3/8" "SchoolTime" Teachers Journal has 50+ pages which include a combination of vellum, lined writing, linen, sketch, and watercolor papers.

with a bottom pocket and double-sided tag tucked in. i have created 4 full page pocket divider pages with top openings and metal/leather page tabs.

there are 2 bottom pockets here with a large clip slipped on the top pocket. the dividers were created using premium double-sided papers from the ABC Primer collection by Graphic 45.

here is a side and strip pocket with a spiral clip. there is a 1800 lotto marker attached to the metal page turn.

thank you for viewing this newest journal. i call it a teachers journal but of course, it may be used as a childs school keepsake or a travel journal for anyone who loves these wonderful papers. 

i will be back tonight with another school journal if you would like to stop back by. i am trying my hardest to use all of my saved paper collections before i start gathering  more, it takes almost too much self control, but i am doing pretty good so far...

new journal "tiny journal" storybook

happy mother's day to all you moms!  ohmygosh, what a gorgeous day today! sunshine and warm breezes make for a lazy, relaxing mother's day. just beautiful.

i was able to list this newest journal in my etsy shop but after posting the pictures on my blog, i just had to go outside and enjoy the day. so, i am back and ready to tell you about "tiny journal". this sweet "little prudy's captain horace" storybook is from the early 1900's and measures  4.25" X 6-3/8", i guess it's not all that tiny but it is one that will be easily packed around.

with vintage lace on the bottom of this page and the facing page is an original picture from the storybook.

I have designed 4 double-sided pocket dividers, which are also full page pockets with top openings, using beautiful premium papers from Prima. The dividers are embellished with layered page pockets plus, clips, brads, coin envelope pockets, vintage lace, paper lace, double-sided tags with vintage images, metal, and velvet page tab turners, and a little vellum envelope.

each divider has a full page pocket with top openings - except this mail page. here there are 2 half page pockets; one is a top opening with a half circle opening and the other is a slit pocket. the top little banner is a tiny pocket and the printed vintage postcard is a little pocket. these will hold tickets, stamps or any little mailing item that you have.

new travel journal "happy trails"

what a beautiful spring day today!   i have listed this new journal here in my etsy shop.

it seems hard to concentrate on getting anything done today; i see the sun coming through the windows and realize that spring cleaning is in my near future, i sit in our lawn swing and see that the garden and lawn could use some attention, geesh.

i am posting this journal and poking around on my blog and see that all of my slide shows have been disabled, so sad, i had forgotten "slide" closed it's doors. have to find a new slide service and redo all my albums, good grief!

i need to stop lollygagging and get busy! lol.
