christmas journal/planner "'tis the season"

another christmas journal ready before december 1! yea! lol. i have searched our local scrapbook stores and found that they have no christmas papers that i can use in my journals, makes me sad. also the little readers are harder and harder to find, i choose books that are discarded or falling apart with broken spines, torn and written/colored pages. well loved and well read. i will keep looking and i do have many papers that i have collected so i will keep creating  journals, i just may not be able to created as many as i'ld like for the holidays. well, enough about my woes, geesh!

here is a new christmas  journal/planner called " 'tis the season" with 50+ pages which include a combination of lined writing, sketch, linen, and watercolor papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue.

Each page of this journal is hand inked, stamped and bound between the covers from a 1940 Easy Growth in reading called "i know a secret" - i love that title for christmas. with sturdy o-wire binding and a...

with a little strip pocket across the bottom of the page. each of the 4 dividers are full page pockets with top openings.

there are 2 side pockets on this page. one of the pockets was created with a 1930's childrens music book.  each facing page after the divider is a vellum page.

3 bottom pockets here with a 4th pocket created from a picture form the original reader sewn  to the top of the bottom pocket with 2 tiny hang tags pinned to the thread. there is a removable double-sided tag labeled "traditions" slipped into one of the pockets.

"christmas joy" new storybook journal

good morning everyone! geesh, 3:30 am here, cold wet and dark. i wanted to get this posted tonight and list it in my etsy shop tomorrow. it feels good to get a christmas journal completed - before christmas; unlike my halloween journal, lol. anyway, this journal was created from a 1916 christmas book called "the birds christmas" it measures 5.25" X 7.75". it has 50+ pages which include a combination of vellum, lined writing, sketch, linen, and watercolor papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue.

this is the name/date page with a side strip pocket.

there are 4 full page pocket dividers created with sweet premium card-stock papers from kasisercraft. each divider is embellished with pockets, clips, paper lace, pins, vintage lace, tags, buttons and seam binding ribbon.

each page of this journal is hand inked and stamped.

there are 3 side pockets on this page, one of paper lace. the first page of each section is vellum.

this is a carte-de-visite frame from an 1885 victorian photo album which has been embellished with vintage lace, fibers, stamps, a tiny tag and vintage buttons. there is a double-sided tag with a vintage postcard image and seam binding pull, slipped into this side of the frame.
