travel journal "sojourn" storybook

back again with this new journal called "sojourn". it holds 55  pages which include a combination of vellum, vintage lined writing, linen, sketch, and watercolor papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue.

"sojourn" measures 5" X 7.5" and was created from a 1920's book written by james m. barrie titled "little minister". it is a vintage book binder so you may add, move or  remove pages as you please.  i will be listing this journal is in my etsy shop here.

the "name/date page" with a bottom pocket created with a flower cutout and tag slipped in. each divider page is a full pocket page with top opening and a velvet, metal or leather page tab.

has 2 side pockets and a printed vintage "gibson girl" image tag slipped in. each page of this journal is hand stamped and inked. each facing page after the dividers is a vellum page.

the "mail page"  has 2 horizontal page pockets, there are 2 pockets on the top half of the page created from printed vintage postcard images and a little pocket on the bottom half created from a "gibson girl" image. there are 2 little tags tucked in the pockets and a charm and 2 tiny tags hanging from a laundry pin attached to the bottom pocket. a sweet bird charm hangs from the leather page tab.

with 2 side pockets. a vintage printed  "gibson girl" cutout creates a strip pocket and paper lace creates another little pocket.

with a vintage lace side pocket attached with eyelets and a large tag slipped in with a tiny paper clip. attached to the top of the page with a vintage button is a swatch of vintage lace with seam binding ribbon and a cruise ship charm hanging from a tiny chain.

travel journal "discovery" storybook

ohmygosh, it's nearly march -  yea! it's getting lighter and the sun is showing up again to let me know the windows need washing. the scrapbook stores are bringing new papers in that have been inspiring me again, it's a good feeling. 

here is the first of three that i will be listing in my etsy shop over the next couple of days. it's a travel journal measuring 4 - 7/8" X 7.5" the perfect size to tote around easily. there are 50+ pages which include a combination of vellum, lined writing, linen, sketch, and watercolor papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue.

the "mail stop page" has 2 horizontal pockets, there is a large  pocket on the top half of the page created from a printed vintagewestern union image and a bottom and strip pocket on the bottom half of the page with 4 tags slipped in all of the pockets. there are 2 tiny hang tags attached to the upper pocket with a paper clip. you can stash a lot of stamps, tickets, or any little prize in these pockets.

smash type storybook journal "storytime"

 hi, back with another journal, this time a bit different. this storybook journal started as a 1963 "my book house" story book. it measures  6.75" X 9- 3/8"  and has 20 premium card-stock pages, vintage cotton content typewriter paper, and pint sized lined note paper. i have attached a binder mechanism with 3 rings to the binding so pages may be added and removed. it is listed in my etsy shop here.

there are lots of  pictures here, maybe you should grab a large cup of coffee or tea (oh heck, maybe a large whiskey) and settle in...

the first page is taken from an early reader. all of the cut and paste pages have been taken from story book and music pages dating from the 20's and 30's.

a little tag on the bottom rings and a cute sun(cosmo cricket?) creates an attached side tab maybe could be used to clip a little memory to. many of these papers are from long ago, lol - well, a couple of years perhaps. anyway, i have since lost the paper company names they came from- i will name the papers that i can.

travel journal "adventure" storybook

hi all, i hope you had lots of love on valentines day!

i will be posting this new travel journal called "adventure" in my etsy shop here tonight or tomorrow. i love the cover; can you canoe?  anyway...each page of this 4- 7/8" X 7.5"  journal is hand inked, stamped and bound with o-wire between covers which were created from a 1932 child reader called  "fact and story readers".

travel journal "je t'adore" love

this newest journal cover was created from one of the papers that i made from my scraps. i was courious to find out if the glue that i use in my journals would seep through the sewn holes - no glue came through, i was happy. with that said, this travel journal is named "je t'adore"  and has been created from a 1930 book called "the golden rule club" with  50 pages which include  a combination of vintage lined writing, linen, sketch, and watercolor papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue.
