"playful wanderings" storybook travel journal

ohmygosh, the sun was out today and it was wonderful! it's still cold but everything looks good with the promise of spring in the air. another journal is finished, i have called it "playful wanderings" because the papers are fun and brightly colored. the cover is created from a 1930 fact and story reader measuring 5" X 7.5 and has 55+ pages which include  a combination of vintage lined writing, linen, sketch, and graph papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue. It will be listed in my etsy shop tonight.

                                                 divider 1

the name/date page has 2 bottom pockets; one is paper lace the other is a cute flower cutout. each divider has a metal, velvet or leather page tab and each facing page after the divider is a velum page. the facing page is an original page from the reader.

there are 2 side pockets attached with vintage buttons . there is a paper lace pocket attached to the top pocket with another vintage button and seam binding ribbon.

the mail stop page with 2 horizontal pockets, a bottom pocket and 2 little printed vintage image pockets on the top half of the page. there is a tag tucked in the bottom pocket and 2 tags slipped in a top pocket.. these little pockets are perfect for stamps and small correspondence, lists, addresses, etc.

there are 3 side pockets with one being paper lace.

this booklet has been created from a vintage elementary word card with 5 vintage guest log cards folded in-half to create 10 pages to journal on, use as address book, to-do pages or whatever you imagine. there is a vintage seam binding ribbon used as bindeing attached to the o-wire with a bow.

3 bottom pockets here with a strip pocket on the bottom and a tiny pocket to the leftof the envelope flap. as you know and can see, i love pockets in all sizes. there is a mini playing card tag tucked in the strip pocket.
