ohmygosh, i just wrote a whole large paragraph just the way i wanted it and in 2 strokes wiped it right off of here, good grief, i do the two finger hunt and peck thingy and do not enjoy it. huh! oh well, i will start again...
i just returned from "lila's Scrapbooking" the one and only "real" scrapbook store near home, am quite happy with what i found and wanted to share this thought with you; over the last few years the dear paper companies and scrapbook stores have been disappearing at a very high rate making it hard to find the right papers to inspire creativity. yes, michaels, joanne, hobby lobby, craft mart and even ben franklin are still there but they have either gone with cheap papers lots of glitter by the piece or large pads of papers, half of which are rather ugly or just blah. where has all the carstock gone? geesh, finding a true scrapbook store is rare so i am thankful lila has been keeping on and wish to say, please visit your local scrapbook store before they are forced to close! where has our community gone?
it was so good to see the store full with people enjoying an all day crop, others stopping in and looking at her large choice of papers, embellishments, albums and other goodies. she has quality papers from major paper companies and for a decent price- those other stores are charging $1.00 to $1.20 for their small amount of quality papers while lila is keeping hers down to 85 cents to $1.00 with many, many more choices. my hope is that she will be able to continue with her store. she's enthusiastic, creative and dedicated! she loves what she is doing and i would hate to see that end. if you live near everett please take the time to drop in and puruse the shelves, enjoy a cropping day, and BUY some quality goods for creative scrapbooking! let's keep our one true scrapbook store in everett!
