Hi! Back again with a few more journals - yea! With the weather cold and sunny, it's easy to stay in and create, peek outside and get back to work. I found this "Dangerous Deeds" reader and couldn't resist - I had to create a travel journal. I have listed this in my Etsy shop here

This Journal was created from a 4.75" X 7 5/8" Children's Reader called "Dangerous Deeds" c 1927. It  has 55+hand stamped and inked pages with a combination of velum, lined writing, vintage linen, sketch, and watercolor papers. Name/Date page. I have designed 4 divider pages; which are also full pocket pages with top openings and embellished with pockets and tags. The premium double-side papers used are from Tim Holtz.

There are 2 side pockets here attached with eyelets, with a large "Bon Voyage!" tag tucked in. There are 3 little hang tags attached to the top of the page with vintage twill tape. Each facing page after the divider is a velum page. Each divider has a metal or leather page turn.

"The correspondence page". this divider is divided in half with 2 page openings and 2 pockets embellishing the front. There are 5 tags tucked in. A printed vintage hotel tag token is hanging from the top of the page. This is a perfect place to keep stamps, postcards, notes, and addresses.

There are 3 side pockets here, one is a cutout of a vintage photographers tag with a photo tucked behind. There are3 little tickets clipped on the cutout with a tiny paper clip

"On The Boardwalk" A Beach Junque Journal

The name of this journal was inspired by the papers used; from the beach collection by Graphic 45.

These junque journals are created as a jump-start, for you to finish with your papers, pockets, ephemera, and of coarse, memories. They are each made with corrugated cardboard front covers designed with different themes. The backs are chipboard. The writing papers are usually a mix and the card-stock is premium double-sided from different well known companies. They are bound together with 2 binder rings giving you an easy way to rearrange and add papers, tags, pockets, and ephemera to suit your own taste.

You can glue, staple, sew or use brads to attach the tops and bottoms of these cards and create a pocket with a side opening. Or add papers between and have a separate place to write a special story. Or gather some photos up, print them to fit between these cards, punch holes, and make it a visual story.

Christmas StoryBook Journal "Merriment"

Hello, hello, back again this time with a new Christmas StoryBook journal called "Merriment. This "5.5" X 8" "Merriment" Christmas journal has 50+ pages which include a combination of lined writing, vellum, sketch, vintage linen, and card-stock, papers on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue.

I have designed 4 double-sided pocket dividers(each divider is a full page pocket with top opening) using premium double-sided card-stock from October Afternoon's "Make it Merry" Christmas Collection.

                                                     Divider 1

Name/date page with a large bottom pocket and a strip pocket on the left hand side. You may want to slip a note, picture or treasure under the strip pocket which is divided in half.

With 4 side pockets, one is paper lace, and a number tag clipped to the top with a large red and white paper clip.

               

There is a velum page after each divider page and an original book page after the velum.

               

                                                   Divider 2

There are 2 bottom pockets here with a sweet cutout creating a side pocket holding a tag with red and white bakers twine. Each divider page is a full pocket with top openings. Some openings have rounded cut outs like this page, some are just straight across. Each divider also has metal or velvet page turns.

2 large bottom pockets with another sweet cutout pocketwith a printed vintage sledding image. Tags are double-sided.

Thank you for looking. You know the funniest thing; I love this book for Christmas and winter journals because of the name, kids, the snowman and the size. I clicked "Christmas StoryBook Journals" in my side bar and I see that my last  Christmas journal I made last year was made from the same book and using the same papers, weird. I didn't realize, I could have used other papers at least, geesh, now I have 2 of the same in a row. LOL. The paper companies are actually putting out more of  the same line as last year and the year before, I don't mind, I do love these papers and the "Silent Night" collection from October Afternoon too!
