Travel Journal "Escape"

hi there, i guess we have all been freezing around the states and most of us have had snow - brrr. but maybe by looking at this journal, we can warm our blood a bit, and daydream a little; a cup of  hot coffee or cocoa might help too.

this new storybook travel journal is called "escape"  and was created from a well read 1931 children's story book called "fact and story readers" it has 50+ pages with a combination of vellum, handmade (not by me) lined writing, vintage linen, sketch, and vintage graph papers.

i will be listing this have this journal listed in my etsy shop tonight if anyone has plans of  traveling to the beach or maybe would like a beach journal to get you through the rest of winter.

there are 2 side pockets on this page; one is paper lace. there is a tag tucked in the pocket with a bamboo clip to keep it secure.

each divider is a full page pocket with top openings and embellished with paper lace, clips, hang tags, hand stitching, stamps, seashells, printed vintage postcard image tags  metal, leather, & velvet page turn tabs, coin envelopes and lots of pockets to store all those travel goodies .

correspondence page. this page is divided in half creating 2 page pockets in which you may store postcards, addresses, notes and such plus 2 smaller outside pokets where you may store stamps and smaller keepsakes. there are 2 tags slipped into the 2 outside pockets and a travel token hanging from a loop on top of the page.

this is a partial  page from an 1800's photo album embellished with seashells and sand attached and covered in wax with a printed vintage beach poster image tag slipped in the bottom opening with a velvet pull tab.

travel journal "at the sea shore" storybook

hi all, back again with another travel journal; a beach one this time. i must say it would be nice to be traveling to a sunny warm beach right now, "sigh" i guess creating this will have to be my beach fix for now... i have listed this "at the sea shore" in my etsy shop here .

this 5- 7/8" X 7.5" travel journal was created using a 1915 "bobbsey twins on a houseboat" children's story book with several original pictures bound between the 4 journal dividers along with 60+pages which include a combination of vintage lined writing, linen, sketch, and vintage graph papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue. as you can see the cover is nicely worn, just the way a favorite book should be. there is a ...

the Name/date page with a bottom pocket. each divider is a full page pocket with top openings (except the mail page) and embellished with paper lace, clips, hang tags, brads, stamps, leather,  metal, & velvet page tabs, coin envelopes and lots of pockets to store all those journaling goodies .

there are 2 hand sewn side pockets with a large tag slipped in and held with a bamboo clip. there are 2 little tags attached to the page with a tiny brass paperclip. all tags are double-sided and have printed vintage images on one side and either stamped, lined or plain on the backside.

"the mail page" here there are 2 half page pockets; one is a top opening with a half circle opening and the other is a slit pocket. there are  2 top pockets and 1 bottom pocket divided into 3 small pockets that may hold tickets, stamps or any little mailing item that you don't want to misplace.

this is a partial  page from an 1800's photo album embellished with sand, a sand dollar, a brass keyhole, fiber, and a sea shell charm. the face of the  carte de vistes is inked, and waxed with paper embellishments and an 1800's piece of gold leaf lace sticker. a sweet tag is tucked in the fram. there is an oval picture frame on the front side and...

new travel journal "sea side and way side"

good morning! it's wet and drizzly here- a perfect day for scrap-booking!  here is the new beach travel journal i have just listed in my etsy shop. 

it's been created from a 1908 children's science book which measures 4.75" X 7- 5/8" and has 50+ papers which include a combination of vellum, lined writing, sketch, linen, and watercolor papers, on which you may journal, sketch, draw, paint, and glue.

new storybook journal "to the sea"

hi, yes i have been busy and you? i have just listed this new journal in my etsy shop here, just in case you are taking a seaside trip soon... or if have already taken one and need a place for all of your beachy things...or if you would just like to take one and would like a journal to remind you of the beach and sun! here are the details:

                                    

this "to the sea" beach journal has a trinket cluster which includes 5 beachy pewter charms and a beach "token" charm attached to the name tag, which is attached to the spine with crinkled, tea dyed, vintage seam binding.

the first divider has a place for your name/date. there are 5 double-sided pocket dividers created by using the wonderful new seaside papers from Graphic 45. each divider has a metal page tab and at least 2 pockets.

                              

the reverse side has 2 side pockets.                         

                             

the second divider is the "mail" page, with 2 half page pockets and a little pocket on front where you can stash stamps, postcards, or notes.

                             

the back of the mail page has 2 pockets. each divider separates the different 4 types of papers and a very light blue velum page is facing the page divider, just before each set of papers.

                             

the third divider has 2 bottom pockets on the front and...
