my, my it's been a while. we've been busy around here! the most exciting news is we have a new grandson! sweet eligh...
and big brother owen is very anxious for him to get bigger, so they can play super hero's.
i also had jury duty (the last time being 2 years ago) yuck! right during the week of eligh's due date wouldn't you know!
and two weeks before, someone took the cover to our underground crawl space off and a rat decided to get his head stuck in our furnace fan and die, ohmygosh what horror! geesh! a gawd awful smell for 2 days before we could get help and find out where the critter was, awk. he had found one of the vents lose and crawled up to our furnace! thank goodness the furnace is enclosed so he couldn't get into the house. needless to say we had a major overhaul of our system and got a new furnace too. way nice! we have had excellent weather in the 70's and 80's so when it took 2 weeks to finally install our new furnace it was okay by us.
the same two weeks we were dealing with a most unpleasant issue with our zoey dog (15) and when we took her in for a check found out she needed antibiotics, my gosh poor girl, she has only had to visit a vet once before (besides shots), but she took it in stride and is much better for it. she has been such a dear protector and friend to our girls and wonderful companion to us, it's hard to see her age and imagine our life without her.
by the time eligh arrived, we were over the messes and yuckiness and able to have owen stay with us during the birth and hospital stay. eligh arrived a bit early but is healthy, strong and eating like a trooper.
it will be good to have august free, hopefully the weather will hold and we will be able to take a bicycle (electric) trip or two. and i will get inspired to start creating journals once more!
thanks for taking a peek have a great weekend! -rebecca
