i know, i know, shame on me, no posts for a month! geesh! well i am going to show you what has been happening, in pictures, grab a cuppa, here we go:
owen keeps growing,
he had his 2nd. birthday, time flies! we planted planted some flowers for jenny for mothers day.
meagen is getting older, she had her 21st.
and we all turned out for megs regional special olympics, she got a gold and silver, and is heading to state.
we've been having gorgeous weather so have been "hitting" the pool.
jen, our oldest, with owen, she's a great momma.
Meg's team posin' and carrying their banner in the opening ceremonies at fort lewis. this is a huge hanger packed with athletes, families, soldiers and celebrities.
meagen in action, on the left, pulling in a silver. a rare moment at these events, i actually get to see her close-up and i get a picture with her! yea meg, you did good!
and, our youngest, jess, is now a a high honors graduate from high school and a freshman in college. she is continuing on to become a special ed teacher, she has a passion for these kids. when she was 3 and 4 years old, she would drag all of her dolls and stuffed animals out and instead of playing house, jess would line her "pupils" up and play teacher. when she was 4 we bought the mcmillan study lessons, they would come once a month, and every morning for 3 hours, she would sit and study. she had to do everything meg did, meg went to school and jess had school too, meg wore glasses, so jess had to wear glasses (we would get children's sunglasses and take the lenses out) as she got older, she would teach meg and meg's friend kelley, from these very lessons she learned from.
she has been coaching the special olympics team for 2 years now, and has been a tutor and assistant in the special ed classroom at the middle school for 4 years. she is a truly focused person, and an amazing daughter. i don't usually go on like this, but jess deserves the recognition! i love you jess, you did it, now go have some FUN! did i mention, she will not let us take pictures of her? she did for graduation, thank god, but i dare not blog any except this one of her getting her diploma, you can see why, we can't see her! geesh!
it has been a long spring and a great start to summer. with all the excitement and events behind us, i will now buckle down and see if i can get some work done. well, until my sister comes down next month, then i will need to play! can't wait polly!
thanks everyone! i must now hit the sack, it's almost 5 am, good night.-rebecca
